Liberty freshman Seth Curry was recently named to Jeff Goodman's All-Freshman team on Goodman, a senior college basketball writer for, published his all-freshman squad based on the play of the nation's top freshmen through the first third of the season.

With guys like B.J. Mullens and Demar DeRozan struggling thus far, I'm going to give you my all-freshman team:

C – Samardo Samuels, Louisville – The Jamaican big man is putting up 17 points and 6.1 boards per game.

G – Seth Curry, Liberty – He's averaging 20.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2 assists per game for the 7-3 Flames.

G – Matt Gatens, Iowa – Averaging 10.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and shooting 53 percent from the field, 96 percent from the line and 57 percent from long distance.
