"Creighton was a really physical, fast team who had a great setter," remarked head coach Shane Pinder. "We showed that we were a young team and unlike the first match, we couldn't block."

Liberty was led by Kendall Nichols (Fr., Hoover, Ala.) who had nine kills and six digs, while Denton recorded seven kills. Taking over this season for Kristin Colson at the setter position, Lara Bartolomeo (So., Huntington Beach, Calif.) collected 28 assists.
