Today, continues its women's soccer feature, "Free Kicks with …" Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the season, "Free Kicks with …" hopes to help you get to know the Lady Flames a bit better. Today, we meet goalkeeper Karen Blocker, one of several newcomers on this year's Liberty squad.

After a stellar prep career, Karen Blocker is in her first season with the Liberty Lady Flames. Through the first four games of the 2008 Lady Flames campaign, she has started each contest as the Liberty goalkeeper.

In just her third game in a Liberty uniform, Blocker recorded 21 saves at Old Dominion, the most by a Lady Flames netminder since 1996. Through one stretch of the game, the freshman made 17-straight saves.

A graduate of Archbishop Spalding High School, Blocker was named to the Top 150 College Recruits for 2008. During her senior year the Bowie, Md., native, was selected as an EA Sports All-American and to the all-state team. A four-year starter for her high school team, Blocker set the Maryland and school record for shutouts with 57. She also earned all-county and conference honors each of her four seasons.

In addition, Blocker spent three years in her state's Olympic Development Program. She was invited to the 2006 Nike Premier 50 camp, which brings the top 50 goalkeepers in the nation together for training and development.

1. The best part about being a Liberty student-athlete is …
Having a family of 30 other girls, who have coaches who love us. and meeting the other [Liberty] athletes.

2. If you could compete against any athlete in any sport, who would it be and why?
[U.S. National team goalkeeper] Hope Solo - She is an amazing keeper, and I would love to attempt to play against her and see how much I have to improve.

3. Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Noah, because his obedience took perseverance, complete trust and faith in God to succeed. Noah also was able to see two of every animal that walked or flew on the face of the planet at that time. That's sweet.

4. If you could eat dinner with three other people (dead or alive), who would they be and why?
There are too many people to choose from, but Jason Dunn, the lead singer of the band Hawk Nelson, Larry the Cable Guy and Mason Aguirre (a professional snowboarder).

5. When I have an hour of free time, I like to …
Take a nap or chill with friends.

6. If someone would look at the songs on my iPod, I would be embarrassed for them to see I have this song or artist …
Enrique Iglesias or Brittney Spears.

7. What TV station do you watch most often?
Fox or the CW.

8. It is not good for you, but I still eat …
Cookies and vanilla icing.

9. A place I would like to visit one day is …
Greece or Brazil.

10. What are five things you could not live without?
Family, music, cell phone, pictures/camera and friends.

11. What is something about you that other people don't know?
I am a snowboarder on the ski patrol in Pennsylvania.

12. What was the best movie you watched over the summer?
Batman -The Dark Knight.

13. Who is the most famous person you have ever met and how did you met them?
[U.S. National team member] Abby Wambach - I was at Nike Top 50 Camp and she came to our trainings.

14. Who is your favorite Liberty athlete to watch compete?
Silvia Betancourt.

15. My dream job would be …
Professional soccer player and/or a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse.
