Liberty alumna Jordan Jenkins has been honored on the 2010-19 Big South Conference Women's Tennis All-Decade Team in both singles and doubles, it was announced today.

Throughout the month of June, the Big South will be recognizing each sport's top student-athletes and coaches from the recently completed decade. Liberty wrapped up its 27-year Big South Conference membership on June 30, 2018, departing for the ASUN Conference.

The Flames excelled during their final years of Big South competition, earning seven Sasser Cups and 62 Big South team championships between 2010-18.

A 15-person committee of Big South Conference administrators served as the official voting panel to determine the All-Decade Team, with fan voting comprising 20 percent of the overall total. The 2010-19 Women's Tennis All-Decade Team features nine singles players, eight doubles players and one head coach.

A native of Sarasota, Fla., Jenkins was a four-time Big South all-conference performer in both singles and doubles from 2008-11. She earned both Big South Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in 2008 and is the only player in program history to be named all-conference four times in singles and doubles. Jenkins also earned Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year distinction in 2010 and 2011 for her efforts in the classroom.

Jenkins still holds the program record for most singles wins in a season with 28 as well as best winning percentage at .875 (28-4 record in 2010). She also holds the best doubles winning percentage in a season (.833, 20-4 record in 2008). Jenkins ranks second in school history with 87 singles wins and tied for third with 78 doubles victories.

The Big South Conference previously announced additional all-decade teams as part of its 30th anniversary celebration during the 2013-14 academic year. One Lady Flame was included on those squads.
