• Liberty enters Wednesday's contest off back-to-back victories over Kent State, this past weekend. The Flames recorded their second shutout of the year on Sunday, downing the Golden Flashes 7-0.
• The Flames will be looking for their first road victory of 2020, Wednesday. Liberty lost it last road contest at No. 22 East Carolina, last Wednesday.
• Wednesday's game begins a four-game road swing for the Flames. Liberty will continue on to Columbus, Ohio for a three-game series with the Ohio State Buckeyes, this weekend.
• Liberty and West Virginia will be meeting for the first time in Morgantown, W.Va. and the first time since 2013 on Wednesday.

Midweek Magic
• The Flames are out to a 3-1 record in midweek contests in 2020, continuing their success of 2019.
• Liberty finished the 2019 regular season with a  9-4 record  in midweek games. At one point during the season, the Flames won six straight midweek contests (March 5-April 6).
• During the midweek last season, Liberty posted a 7-3 record versus the five ACC teams they played a home and home series with. The Flames swept midweek series from Duke and Virginia Tech, while splitting with North Carolina, Virginia and Wake Forest.

Flame Record First 2 Shutouts of 2020
• The Liberty mound staff registered its first two shutouts of the year, last week.
• Mason Hand, Troy Britts, Mason Fluharty and Landon Riley combined for a 3-0 shutout of Elon for Liberty's first blanking of 2020 on March 3 to begin the week.
• Joe Adametz III and Garret Price held Kent State scoreless in a 7-0 shutout for the Flames' second of the year, this past Sunday.
• Last season, the Flames posted seven shutouts, the most by a Liberty staff in a season since 2014 when the Flames recorded nine.
• Liberty finished 2019 as the ASUN leader and sixth in the country in shutouts. UCLA led the country with 11.
• All seven Liberty shutouts were combined efforts. Reliever Price  was part of four of the seven shutouts, while starter Noah Skirrow was part of three.

From the On Deck Circle
• Liberty posted double-digit hit totals in each of its victories over Kent State, this past weekend. The Flames collected 11 hits on Saturday and 15 on Sunday.  Liberty has had 10 or more hits in four games, all victories, this season.
• The Flames are 9-0 when leading after six innings, this season.
• Serving as the designated hitter on Sunday, Brady Gulakowski drove in five runs with three hits in Liberty's 7-0 win over Kent State. The junior hit his second home run of the year and doubled twice.  Earlier in the season, teammate Trey McDyre drove in five runs in a victory over Longwood on Feb. 25.
• Right fielder Brandon Rohrer had three hits in each of the last two games.  He also collected two RBI and scored four times.
• Shortstop Cam Locklear collected four hits in the Flames' 7-0 win over Kent State on Sunday. The senior has had four hits in a game three times in his career.
