Liberty women's lacrosse will put its unbeaten home record on the line when it faces Robert Morris, Thursday afternoon at home. First draw is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Liberty Lacrosse Field.

Liberty carries a 2-3 record into the contest. The Lady Flames dropped their most recent game by an 18-9 score at Richmond, Saturday. Robert Morris brings a 4-1 mark and a four-match winning streak into the match. The Colonials defeated Radford 17-5 on the road, Tuesday.  

The Lady Flames and Colonials will be meeting for the sixth time, with Robert Morris currently holding a 3-2 edge in the all-time series. Liberty has won each of the last two meetings (2018 and 2019). The Lady Flames topped the Colonials 10-7 in the most recent meeting, Feb. 27, 2019 in Moon Township, Pa.

  • Junior midfielder Mia Toscano garnered ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday, the first ASUN weekly honor of her career. Toscano recorded seven caused turnovers and six ground balls in two games last week. The Venetia, Pa., native filed the stat sheet with five goals, an assist, six points  and seven draw controls as well.
  • Liberty ranks third in the nation in caused turnovers per game (14.20), 12th in draw controls per game (16.40) and 17th in ground balls per game (20.60).
  • Liberty junior Anna Keebler has scored 22 goals, the most goals in program history through the first five games of the season. The attacker leads the ASUN and ranks sixth nationally in goals and is fifth in the country in goals per game (4.40).
  • Senior captain Carly White ranks No. 6 in the nation in caused turnovers per game and No. 14 in ground balls per game (3.60).  Toscano is 25th in the country in caused turnovers per game (2.00).
  • White scooped up seven ground balls on Saturday at Richmond and supplanted her former teammate, Brianna McCaffrey (164 ground balls, 2016-19), for the program career ground balls record with 165.  
  • The Lady Flames are 15-2 on their home turf over the last three seasons. Liberty went 7-0 at home in 2018 and 6-2 in 2019 and is 2-0 so far this season.
  • In their two wins, the Lady Flames have surrendered nine goals per game. Liberty has allowed 19.33 goals per contest in its three losses.
  • Liberty won a program-record 14 games in 2019 and reached the ASUN title game in its first year in the conference. The Colonials posted a 12-5 record last year. The Lady Flames were picked to finish second in the ASUN this year, and Robert Morris was projected to finish third in the Northeast Conference (NEC).
