Asia Todd scored 11 of her career-high 24 points during the fourth quarter of a 76-70 victory at Kennesaw State, Monday.

Liberty freshman Asia Todd scored 11 of her career-high 24 points during the fourth quarter and sophomore Mya McMillian added a career-high 21 points, leading the Lady Flames past Kennesaw State, 76-70. Monday evening's triumph during the regular-season finale at the KSU Convocation Center was Liberty's sixth in a row, matching its season high.

The Lady Flames (18-11, 11-5 ASUN) finished in a tie for second place with North Alabama in the ASUN standings and will enter the ASUN Women's Basketball Championship as the No. 3 seed for the second straight year. Liberty scored a season-high 52 points in the paint on Monday and outrebounded the Owls, 41-22.

Kennesaw State (13-15, 6-10 ASUN) fell despite Alexis Poole tallying 23 of her career-high 29 points after halftime and despite taking a 57-54 advantage into the fourth quarter. Poole's pair of free throws with 2:53 remaining tied the score at 70-70. But Liberty scored the game's final six points to pull out the hard-fought victory.

These same two teams will meet again on Saturday at the Vines Center during the ASUN Women's Basketball Championship quarterfinal round. Kennesaw State tied Stetson for sixth place in the ASUN standings, and earned the No. 6 seed by virtue of a better RPI ranking than the Hatters.

Game Summary
First Quarter
• Mya McMillian scored the final six points of the Lady Flames' 12-0 run midway through the opening period, part of the sophomore's nine-point, four-rebound stanza. Liberty led by as many as eight points before taking a three-point edge (17-14) into the second quarter.

Second Quarter
• After Amani Johnson's three-pointer briefly tied the score, the Lady Flames reclaimed the advantage for the remainder of the half with a 10-0 surge. Liberty owned a 39-32 halftime lead after huge opening halves by Mya McMillian (16 points, 5 rebounds) and Asia Todd (10 points). The visitors racked up 30 points in the point prior to the intermission.

Third Quarter
• Alexis Poole had a huge 13-point third quarter, helping the Owls rally from an 11-point deficit to lead 57-54 at the conclusion of the stanza. KSU shot 62.5 percent (10-of-16) while scoring 25 points during the period.

Fourth Quarter
• Liberty began the fourth quarter with a 9-0 run, including seven straight points by Todd. The Lady Flames never trailed again after Todd's step-back triple with 7:57 left, although Kennesaw State tied things up at 66-66, 68-68 and 70-70 before Liberty's 6-0 game-ending run.

• The Lady Flames shot 77.8 percent (7-of-8) during the decisive final period. Poole scored 10 more points for the Owls, but her teammates combined for just three points on 1-of-9 from the field over the final 10 minutes.

Notes and Nuggets
• Todd's 24 points eclipsed her previous high of 20 points. It marked the most points a Liberty freshman has scored since Keyen Green posted a pair of 26-point games during the 2016-17 season.

• McMillian's previous career high of 17 points came during Liberty's first meeting with Kennesaw State this season, Feb. 3 at the Vines Center. During two meetings with the Owls this season, the sophomore totaled 38 points in 39 minutes, shooting 15-of-19 from the field.

• Baker scored in double figures for the fifth straight game and dished out six assists for the fifth time during the Lady Flames' six-game winning streak.

• Green reached double digits in the scoring column for the 13th time in 16 ASUN outings.

• Liberty improved to 4-0 all-time against Kennesaw State.

• The Lady Flames' 11-5 conference record bettered their 10-6 mark from their inaugural season of ASUN competition in 2018-19.

• Liberty will take a six-game winning streak into the ASUN Women's Basketball Championship, its longest streak to end a regular season since 2014-15. That year, Liberty won its final 11 regular-season contests before claiming the Big South Championship crown.

• The Lady Flames improved to 5-0 this season and 123-2 under Carey Green when shooting 50 percent or better from the field.

• Monday marked just the second time this year that Liberty has won a game after trailing entering the fourth quarter. They also rallied to win at Jacksonville on Feb. 10 for the first of their six consecutive triumphs.
