No. 29 Liberty finds itself in the middle of the pack of the 15-team field, sharing seventh place with former Big South foe Coastal Carolina with a 16-over par 576.

The Flames carded rounds of 289 and 287 during their two trips around the Mark Bostick Golf Course (par 70, 6,701 yards) on Saturday.

The Flames will be paired with golfers from Coastal Carolina and ninth-place Georgia Southern (289-289-578/+18), with the threesomes heading off the No. 1 tee (par 4, 376 yards) starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Round Recap – Liberty's Starting Five:
• Jonathan Yaun: T12 1-over par 141 (70-71)
• No. 89 Kieran Vincent: T16 2-over par 142 (70-72)
• Alexandre Fuchs: T44 7-over par 147 (76-71)
• Ervin Chang: T50 8-over par 148 (75-73)
• Zach Barbin: T61 10-over par 150 (74-76)

Field Reflections:
• No. 31 Florida, the tournament host, used its familiarity with its home course to open up a 10-stroke lead following 36 holes of play.
• The Gators were the only team in the 15-team field to post a score in red figures, finishing play on Saturday with a 5-under par 555 (283-272).
• No. 19 Vanderbilt is in a distant second place after carding a 5-over par 565 (288-277) on Saturday.
• A total of six strokes separate five teams who hold down fifth through ninth place (Fifth place No. 36 USF [12-over par 572] and ninth place Georgia Southern [18-over par 578]).
• Florida's Ricky Castillo, the No. 46 ranked golfer in the country, holds the overnight clubhouse lead with a 7-under par 133 (70-63).
• Only seven golfers in the 84-man field finished the opening 36 holes of play with an under-par score.

Birdies and Bogeys – Liberty Team Notes:
• The strength of Liberty's play on Saturday was found in its play on the par-4 holes where the Flames ranked third in the field with a 4.09 scoring average.
• Liberty's Jonathan Yaun is pacing the way for his team as he is tied for 12th place with a 1-over par 141 (70-71).
• The sophomore finished the day with five birdies, including back-to-back birdies to close out the second round.
• Kieran Vincent, who is ranked No. 89 in the country, is one stroke behind Yaun and is tied for 16th place with a 2-over par 142 (70-72).
• Alexandre Fuchs had the most improved second round for Liberty, better his morning round by five shots to share 44th place with a 7-over par 147 (76-71).
• Fuchs led the Flames with seven birdies on the day, including five during his second trip around Florida's home golf course.
