Autumn Bishop hit her first homer of the season, Friday against Missouri.

No. 10 Missouri scored twice in both the sixth and seventh innings to take a 5-1 lead before Liberty pulled to within one on a three-run homer by Autumn Bishop. The Tigers held on for the 5-4 win, Friday at Eddie C. Moore Complex.

Missouri improves to 7-0 on the season while the Lady Flames fall to 1-6, including 0-2 at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational.

Missouri was the third straight Liberty opponent to appear in the Top 25.

Notable Numbers
- Missouri led 8-6 in hits, while Liberty committed two errors compared to one for the Lady Flames. The Tigers left six runners on base, while the Lady Flames stranded four.

- Reliever Jordan Weber (2-0) earned the win, yielding three runs on two hits, walking one and striking out three in 2 1/3 innings after Sophie Dandola pitched the first 4 1/3 frames. Eli Daniel got the one-out save, her third of the season.

- Karlie Keeney (1-2) drew the loss, allowing five runs (three earned) on eight hits, walking one and striking out a career-high six batters.

- Jazmyn Rollin went 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Missouri, while Brooke Wilmes homered and scored twice. Kendyll Bailey batted 1-for-3 with two RBI.

- Liberty's Autumn Bishop batted 1-for-4 with a homer and three RBI, while Savannah Channell had one RBI and Madison Via (1-for-2) doubled and scored.

Turning Point
- With the game tied at 1-1 entering the sixth, Missouri scored twice to take a 3-1 lead. They then added two unearned runs in the seventh to build a 5-1 cushion.

- Liberty rallied in the bottom of the seventh, as Blake Gibson hit a one-out single and Via walked. Autumn Bishop narrowed the gap to 5-4 with a three-run blast, her first homer of the season. Amber Bishop then fouled out to end the game.

Beyond the Box Score
- Missouri and Liberty met for the first time in softball today.

- Liberty is now 1-4 against Top 25 teams so far this season, and faces nationally-ranked teams in each of its next four games.

- Autumn Bishop posted her 101st career RBI, becoming the 12th player in program history to surpass 100 career RBI. She needs one more hit to become the 10th player in program history with 200 or more career hits.

- Liberty's Amber and Autumn Bishop both celebrated their 22nd birthday today. They are one of 22 pairs of twins currently playing Division I softball.
