No. 33 Liberty is in 4th Place at Sea Best Invitational

Following 36 holes of action at the TPC Sawgrass – Valley Course (par 70, 6,790 yards), No. 33 Liberty has carded a 2-over par 562 (283-279).

The Flames will return to the course tomorrow morning, starting at 8:45 a.m., for their third and final round of the two-day event hosted by Jacksonville.

Liberty will be paired with golfers from former Big South foe Campbell and current ASUN member North Florida during the closing round.

Round Recap – Liberty's Starting Five:
• No. 85 Kieran Vincent: T14 Even par 140 (71-69)
• Jonathan Yaun: T14 Even par 140 (69-71)
• Zach Barbin: T18 1-over par 141 (72-69)
• Ervin Chang: T25 2-over par 142 (71-71)
• Alexandre Fuchs: T37 4-over par 144 (74-70)
Individual:
• Connor Polender: T18 1-over par 141 (74-67)

Field Reflections:
• Liberty has participated in this event nine out of the last 10 years, posting eight top-five finishes.
• No. 12 Texas A&M paced the way on Monday and holds a one-shot lead with a 7-under par 553 (281-272).
• No. 37 Florida follows closely behind with a 6-under par 554 (276-78), while No. 13 North Carolina is in third place with an even par 560 (278-282).
• A total of 13 players are currently under par following the first 36 holes play in the event, led by Texas A&M's William Paysse with a 6-under par 134 (71-63).

Birdies and Bogeys – Liberty Team Notes:
• The Flames finished the day ranked second in the field in par-3 scoring with a 2.98 stroke average and third in par-5 scoring with a 4.80 stroke average.
• Liberty also ranked second in the field on the day with 35 total birdies.
• Kieran Vincent (71-69) and Jonathan Yaun (69-71) paced the way for the Flames and are tied for 14th place following an even par 140.
• Yaun and Connor Polender, who is competing as an individual in this event, led Liberty and ranked fourth in the field with nine birdies on Monday.
• Polender (74-67) and Zach Barbin (72-69) are tied for 18th place following a 1-over par 141.
• Polender matched his low round of the season with a 3-under par 67 during the second round and has posted a sub-70 round in three of his last five rounds of golf.
