Football Game Notes vs. Georgia Southern

Liberty held its first of three scheduled workouts in Orlando, Fla., on Wednesday afternoon, in preparation for the 2019 FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl on Saturday.

The Flames practiced at The First Academy Payne Stewart Athletic Complex, which was roughly a 15-minute drive from the Loews Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal Studios, Liberty's home of operation during bowl week.

The near two-hour workout began around 1 p.m. and allowed the Flames to adjust to playing on natural grass, which is the same surface it will face when Liberty takes on Georgia Southern at Exploria Stadium.

Following practice, members of the media had a chance to talk with Flames' Head Coach Hugh Freeze, senior's Frankie Hickson (RB) and Dontae Duff (OL) and linebacker Amarii Jenkins, who is a native of near-by Ocala, Fla.
