Liberty holds a 136-48 lead over the visiting UNC Asheville Bulldogs after day one of this weekend's two-day swimming & diving meet, Friday at the Liberty Natatorium.

The Lady Flames won nine out of 10 events tonight, as the final 10 events will be contested tomorrow starting at 11 a.m.

• 200 medley relay – 1:45.86 (Payton Keiner – 26.68; Hannah Baker – 29.84; Brittany Weiss – 25.65; Colleen Donlin – 23.69)

• So. Emma Hazel – 500 free (5:02.32)

• Sr. Hannah Baker – 50 freestyle (24.15); 100 freestyle (52.33)

• Jr. Payton Keiner – 200 backstroke (2:00.18)

• So. Lauren Chennault – 3-meter diving (292.20)

• Fr. Jessica Schellenboom – 200 breaststroke (2:21.46)

• Jr. Lindsey Cohee – 200 butterfly (2:02.45)

• 400 freestyle relay – 3:34.01 (Eva Suggs – 52.05; Hannah Baker – 52.64; Emma Hazel – 53.06; Carolyn Bolden – 56.26)

Notable
• Lauren Chennault (292.20) and Abigail Egolf-Jensen (283.50) both earned qualifying scores for the 2020 NCAA Zone Diving Championships, which will be held in Morgantown, W.Va., March 9-11. Olivia Robinson qualified for the Zone Championships in one-meter diving in the season opener at Penn State.

• Liberty posted 1-2-3 finishes in the 200 backstroke (Keiner, Eva Suggs, Hazel), three-meter diving (Chennault, Abigail Egolf-Jensen, Allison Van Milligan) and 200 breaststroke (Schellenboom, Chloe Rippey, Cailin Carroll),

• Hazel (5:02.32 – 500 freestyle), Rippey (4:41.16 – 400 IM), Keiner (2:00.18 – 200 back), Chennault (292.20 – three-meter diving) and Schellenboom (2:21.46 – 200 breast) all posted the best performance by a Lady Flame in those respective events so far this season.

Historically Speaking
• Abigail Egolf-Jensen's lifetime-best 283.50 in three-meter diving ranks third in program history in the event. Emily LaRocque (226.50) and Allison Van Milligan (225.53) moved into fourth and fifth, respectively, in program history in three-meter diving.   

• Eva Suggs (2:02.56) is now ranked 10th in program history in the 200 backstroke.
