The Liberty softball team has been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for academic success.

The Lady Flames earned the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Academic Team award for the fifth time in the last six years.

Additionally, seven Liberty student-athletes received mention on the list of Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.

Liberty posted a team grade-point average of 3.050 during the 2018-19 academic year. Grand Canyon earned the highest GPA in the nation, at 3.76.

The NFCA All-Academic Team award was given to each member institution that recorded a 3.0 or higher GPA during the 2018-19 academic year. A total of 140 NCAA Division I schools received the award. Liberty was one of three ASUN programs to earn the award, joining Lipscomb (3.499) and Stetson (3.32)

Liberty seniors Jaclyn Amader, Kaitlin McFarland, Rylee Reynolds and Sarah Robertson, along with junior Addison Baele and sophomores Emily Kirby and Madison Via were all named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.

The Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete award is given to any softball player submitted by a member coach who attained a 3.50 grade-point average or higher during the 2018-19 academic year.

A total of 8,161 softball student-athletes received Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete distinction this year. The awardees represent seven different divisions, encompassing NCAA, NAIA, junior college and high school. NCAA Division I received 1,769 honorees.
