Rhodes was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

Liberty field hockey's Daniella Rhodes garnered inclusion on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon.

Rhodes, a freshman from Durban, South Africa, scored two goals in the No. 13 Lady Flames' 5-0 shutout of Villanova, last Friday in their BIG EAST home opener at the Liberty Field Hockey Field. The forward found the back of the cage in the second and 45th minutes, helping Liberty to a 2-0 start in the BIG EAST. Her goal in the second minute proved to be the game winner in what was Liberty's fourth shutout of the season and 100th victory in program history.

Rhodes has already been honored by the conference this season with two BIG EAST Freshman of the Week distinctions (Sept. 2, Sept. 9) and a BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honor (Sept. 9).

Through seven games, Rhodes paces the team in goals (7), assists (5) and points (19). She currently ranks No. 6 in the country in points per game (2.71), No. 8 in goals per game (1.00) and No. 15 in assists per game (0.71).

Rhodes and No. 13 Liberty, who are 6-1 for the first time in school history, will be back in action at Quinnipiac and at No. 16 Harvard, this weekend. The Lady Flames will take on the Quinnipiac Bobcats in BIG EAST action on Friday at 3 p.m. in Hamden, Conn., followed by a 1 p.m. match with the Harvard Crimson on Sunday in Cambridge, Mass.
