The Flames were unable to replicate Saturday's second-round efforts and finished the final round of the 2019 Rod Myers Invitational in sixth place.
Liberty matched its opening-round score from Saturday, carding a 5-over par 293 during the final round on Sunday.
The higher score dropped Liberty down the leaderboard two spots into a sixth-place finish. The Flames completed their second event of the season at 2-over par 866 (293-280-293) on the Duke University Golf Club (par 72, 7,154 yards).
Ervin Chang was the lone Flame to find red figures during the final round, allowing the senior to finish the event tied for fifth place with a 6-under par 210 (70-69-71).

Field Reflections: • Only two teams in the 13-team field posted an under-par score during the final round, as the course played at a 74.97 stroke average on Sunday. • During the first round on Saturday, the course played at a 75.20 stroke average, while the team's played the afternoon flight yesterday at a 73.01 stroke average. • Wake Forest had the best closing round of the tournament, carding a 7-under par 281 on Sunday to win the tournament. • Wake Forest, who finished last year ranked No. 3 in the final Golfstat rankings, posted a winning score of 22-under par 842 (283-278-281). • Tournament host Duke could not keep pace with its fellow ACC foe during the final round, falling into second place with a 19-over par 845 (281-274-290). • Louisville finished in third place with a 6-under par 858 (288-278-292). • Penn State (292-286-286) and UNCG (290-284-290) were the final two teams to finish ahead of the Flames with an even par 864. • UNCG's Jonathan Brightwell was one of three players in the 75-man field to close the event with a sub-70 round en route to individual medalist honors with a winning score of 11-under par 205 (68-70-67).
Birdies and Bogeys – Liberty Team Notes: • Chang completed the tournament with his sixth career top-5 finish and posted his 22nd career sub-70 round during yesterday's second round. • Chang was one of the more steady players in the field, ranking second in the field with 41 total pars over the 54-hole event. • Following an opening round 5-over par 77, Zach Barbin closed the tournament with a pair of rounds at par, the eighth and ninth of his career. • The junior finished the event tied for 32nd place with an overall 5-over par 221 (77-72-72). • Kieran Vincent ranked third in the field in par-5 scoring, posting a 7-under par 4.42 scoring average on the par-5 holes.
