Key Stats & Notes
Thoughts from Head Coach Lang Wedemeyer
"Virginia is a team full of youth national team players and are always in contention for a national championship. I thought we created some chances and had an excellent first half. We stuck to the game plan as well as we have all season but I think we are lacking a little bit of that quality to make another team pay."
Liberty will return to Osborne Stadium next week for its first two home games of the season as they welcome William & Mary and Old Dominion to town. The Lady Flames will start the week against William & Mary on Thursday, Aug. 29, as kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Osborne Stadium.
