USA Field Hockey High Performance Training Centers Information
The Liberty field hockey program has a program-record eight players improving and honing their skills at USA Field Hockey's High Performance Training Centers, this summer.
Liberty's Jill Bolton, Ashley Dykema, Lizzie Hamlett, Maddie Hosler, Kendra Jones, Alivia Klopp, Alexis Paone and Allison Schaefer were all identified by USA Field Hockey and invited to participate at the training centers. There are eight USA Field Hockey High Performance Training Centers: Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, New Jersey, North, Pennsylvania (East and West), South, Virginia and West.
Bolton, Hosler, Jones, Klopp and Paone are at the Pennsylvania sites. Schaefer is at the Mid-Atlantic location, and Dykema and Hamlett are at the Virginia site.
USA Field Hockey's High Performance Training Centers identify and train potential U.S. Women's National Team athletes through comprehensive training and skill enhancement sessions, as well as premier level competitions. High Performance Centers allow athletes to train in regional areas close to their homes by some of the country's top coaches.
The top athletes will be selected to represent their region at the Young Women's National Championship (YWNC), held annually in June. Selections are performance based to ensure that the strongest representative team participates in the national championship. The YWNC serves as a selection opportunity for the 2019-20 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team, U.S. Women's National Development Squad and U.S. Women's National Team.
