Liberty Athletics celebrated another successful season during its eighth annual FLAMESPY Award show where Liberty men's basketball was the winner of the Most Outstanding Team award.

Following the award presentation, Alan York stepped aside from his FLAMESPY Award show hosting duties to interview Flames head coach Ritchie McKay, alongside juniors Georgie Pacheco-Ortiz and Caleb Homesley.

Men's basketball won a program record 29 wins, including an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013 and the fourth time in program history.

The Flames also won the program's first ever NCAA Tournament win, upsetting Mississippi State in the first round of the tournament. In its first year in the ASUN, Liberty won the ASUN regular season title and the ASUN Conference championship.
