Liberty Athletics celebrated another successful season during its eighth annual FLAMESPY Award show where Emily Lytle was named the Female Newcomer of the Year award winner.
Lytle made an immediate impact during her first season with the Lady Flames after transferring from Little Rock. She led the team in scoring (12.4 ppg) and tied the Liberty single-season record for three-pointers made with 64. Lytle posted six 20-point games, headlined by a 26-point outing during a Jan. 26 overtime win at Jacksonville.
Lytle was a member of the ASUN All-Tournament Team after hitting nine triples during the Lady Flames' run to the championship game. She earned Liberty's first-ever ASUN Player of the Week honor on Jan. 28 and was a two-time ASUN Newcomer of the Week.
