The Liberty women's tennis squad will be the top seed for the ASUN Women's Tennis Championship.

The Lady Flames finished the regular season on Saturday with a 6-1 win at NJIT to sew up the No. 1 seed for the tournament. Liberty is 15-6 on the year and 6-1 in the ASUN. The Lady Flames have won eight straight matches. The Lady Flames also earned a share of the ASUN regular season crown.

The three-day championship will be held this upcoming Thursday-Saturday at Stetson's Mandy Stoll Tennis Center in DeLand, Fla.

The Lady Flames (15-6, 6-1 ASUN) will take on the winner of the match between the No. 4 seed Florida Gulf Coast Eagles (9-9, 4-3 ASUN) and No. 5 seed and host Stetson Hatters (12-8, 3-4 ASUN), which will be contested at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Liberty's semifinal bout against either the Eagles or Hatters will begin at 9 a.m., Friday. The Lady Flames' only loss in conference play came to FGCU, March 17. It was also Liberty's last loss, as the Lady Flames have gone nearly a month without a setback. Liberty topped Stetson 7-0 at home, April 4.

The Lady Flames are making their debut in the championship and are in search of their first-ever conference title in school history.

The 2019 ASUN Women's Tennis Championship opens Thursday with a pair of quarterfinal matches and ends on Saturday with the title match at 10 a.m. That championship match will be carried live on ESPN+.
