Following a successful regular season in its first year as a member of the ASUN Conference, the Liberty men's tennis team has earned the No. 2 seed for the ASUN Men's Tennis Championship.

The three-day championship will be contested at Stetson's Mandy Stoll Tennis Center in DeLand, Fla., this upcoming Thursday through Saturday.

The Flames (12-10, 6-1 ASUN) receive a bye to the semifinal round and will await the winner of the match between the No. 3 seed North Florida Ospreys (12-10, 5-2 ASUN) and the No. 6 seed Lipscomb Bisons (7-13, 2-5 ASUN), which will take place on Thursday at 5 p.m.

Liberty's semifinal match against either the Ospreys or Bisons will take place at 5 p.m., Friday. The Flames topped both UNF (April 6) and Lipscomb (March 30) by 4-3 scores at home.

The Flames are making their debut in the championship and are in search of their first-ever conference title in school history.

The 2019 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship opens Thursday with a pair of quarterfinal matches and ends on Saturday with the title match at 1 p.m. That championship match will be carried live on ESPN+.
