The Lady Flames lacrosse team will be back in action on Friday and Sunday with games against the Arizona State Sun Devils and Jacksonville Dolphins.

On Friday, Liberty (10-2, 3-0 ASUN) will host Arizona State in a non-conference contest. First draw will be at 4 p.m. at the Liberty Lacrosse Field.

Sunday's contest will pit the top two teams in the ASUN against each other in the Lady Flames and Dolphins (10-2, 3-0 ASUN). The two teams sport identical overall and ASUN records in what will be a battle for first place in the league. The contest will begin at 1 p.m. at the Jacksonville Lacrosse Center.

Liberty is off to its best start in program history and is No. 26 in the NCAA Womens' Lacrosse RPI, the best ledgering in school history as well (previous: No. 37). The Lady Flames have not played a game since March 31, when they defeated Coastal Carolina 11-10. Liberty has won six straight games overall and brings a 4-2 home record and 6-0 away mark into the weekend.

Arizona State brings a 4-9 record and 2-7 mark in the Pac-12 into the weekend. ASU and Liberty have had two common opponents this season, with both squads beating Kennesaw State and Stetson.

The Lady Flames are 1-0 all-time against Arizona State. The Sun Devils hosted Liberty on its spring break trip a year ago. The Lady Flames won that game by a 15-5 score on March 20, 2018, in Tempe, Ariz.

Jacksonville, which was picked to finish first in the ASUN, has won the ASUN Women's Lacrosse Championship title a league-high five times. The Dolphins are currently on a nine-game winning streak and will host No. 17 Florida on Thursday prior to welcoming Liberty to Jacksonville.

The Lady Flames and Dolphins will be facing each other for the fifth time but first as ASUN Conference members. JU is 4-0 in the all-time series, with the most recent win coming just under seven years ago (April 13, 2012).
