Chennault's 2 Record-Setting Performances Highlight Day 1 at Liberty Diving Invitational

Lauren Chennault set new program records in the one-meter and three-meter diving at the Liberty Diving Invitational.

A pair of program-record scores by freshman Lauren Chennault highlighted day one of the Liberty Diving Invitational, Friday at the Liberty Natatorium.

Chennault won both the one-meter (287.10) and three-meter (317.85) boards, giving Liberty wins in each of its last seven diving events, a streak which began at the FGCU Duals on Jan. 5.

This is the fourth time this season that Liberty has won both boards in a meet.

Top Liberty Performers
• Fr. Lauren Chennault – 1st place in one-meter diving (287.10); 1st place in three-meter diving (317.85)

• Fr. Olivia Robinson – 2nd place in one-meter diving (279.60); 2nd place in three-meter diving (242.93)

• R-So. Kendal Irwin – 3rd place in one-meter diving (215.48); 4th place in three-meter diving (188.25)

• Fr. Allison Van Milligan – 4th place in one-meter diving (196.95); 3rd place in three-meter diving (208.73)

• R-Fr. Stephanie Wilson – 6th place in one-meter diving (166.95); 5th place in three-meter diving (158.48)

Notable
• Liberty took the top four spots in one-meter diving and claimed first through fifth in three-meter springboard.

• All five of Liberty's divers earned collegiate-best scores for one-meter.

• Both of Chennault's scores were the best in the CCSA so far this season in one-meter and three-meter diving. Her 3m score of 317.85 broke her own school record of 287.55, while she raised her one-meter program record from 282.75 to 287.10.

Historically Speaking
• In addition to Chennault's program-record scores, several Lady Flames improved their own places on the program's all-time top 10 list.

• Olivia Robinson improved her one-meter season best to 279.60, good for second in program history for the event.

• Allison Van Milligan scored over 200 points for the first time in three-meter diving, entering ninth place in program history at 208.73. Her 199.88 on one-meter is good for 10th place all-time at Liberty.

• Kendal Irwin's 215.48 on one-meter springboard places her ninth on the program's all-time top 10 list.
