For the second time this season, the Liberty Flames men's soccer team has been ranked among the Atlantic Region's top teams as the latest regional rankings were released this afternoon.
The Flames are listed 10th in a region this week. UNCW, which is ranked 10th in the national poll, heads the Atlantic Region poll. Liberty was previously ranked in the region on Oct. 9.
The Flames moved to 7-6-1 overall and clinched a spot in the ASUN Men's Soccer Championship, this past week. Liberty defeated American 4-2 on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. and then secured a place in the ASUN tournament with a 3-2 double overtime win over Jacksonville, Saturday. Liberty leads the ASUN Conference and is 11th nationally with 2.29 goals per game average.
The Flames finish their 2018 regular season schedule next Tuesday. Head Coach Jeff Alder's team travels to Rock Hill, S.C. for a non-conference game against the Winthrop Eagles. Match time at Eagle Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.
