Behind a pair of second-half goals, the Longwood Lancers upset No. 20 Liberty 2-1 on Tuesday morning at the Liberty Field Hockey Field.

After the Lady Flames' Agueda Moroni put Liberty ahead 1-0 in the first half, the Lancers responded with goals from Luna Lopez (48:10 mark) and the game-winner by Charlotte Wilm at the 56:29 mark.

Liberty (3-2) sees its two-game winning streak come to an end. Longwood improves to 4-1 and has won three straight matches.

Turning Points
In the 41st minute, Liberty, leading 1-0, earned its first penalty stroke of the season. Longwood netminder Katie Wyman thwarted Moroni's attempt to make it a two-goal game, diving to her right and saving Moroni's shot.

Just over seven minutes later in the 49th minute, the Lancers' Lopez entered the circle unguarded and buried a forehanded strike into the left side, evening the match at 1-1.

In the 57th minute, Longwood attacker Leonie Vertstraete saw her shot attempt saved by Lady Flames goalkeeper Allison Schaefer, but Wilm scored on a rebound from in front of the cage on the left side to make it 2-1 Longwood.
