The Liberty field hockey squad is set to open its 2018 home schedule against the Longwood Lancers on Tuesday. Match time is pegged for 10:30 a.m. at the Liberty Field Hockey Field. The contest was originally scheduled for a 5 p.m. start, but impending inclement weather has bumped up the start time to the morning.

No. 16 Liberty has not played since Sept. 2, a 7-0 victory over the Ohio Bobcats on the road. Meanwhile, Longwood (3-1) won both of its two matches last week, defeating UC Davis (3-0 final) and La Salle (2-1 final in overtime) at home.
