No. 23 Liberty shut out host Ohio 7-0, Sunday at Pruitt Field. Senior Agueda Moroni and sophomore Jill Bolton scored three goals apiece in the win.
The Lady Flames dominated the match from the opening whistle, scoring five goals in a span of 12:31 in the first half to pull away from the Bobcats and record their first shutout of 2018.
Liberty moves to 3-1 on the year after winning two contests this weekend. Ohio sees its record fall to 1-3.

Thoughts from Coach Parsley-Blocker "It was a full team effort. From that standpoint, it was really cool to see our subs maintain the level the entire game. There wasn't a dropoff in the intensity, which was shown by the fact that we didn't allow a shot throughout the entire game."
Turning Point After recording eight shots over the first 10-plus minutes without finding the back of the cage, Bolton broke through with a goal at the 10:13 mark. Just 52 seconds later, Moroni, the national offensive player of the week, tallied her first goal of the day to push the Lady Flames' lead to 2-0.
