Senior Agueda Moroni continued her torrid start to 2018, scoring both Liberty goals in leading the No. 23 Lady Flames to a 2-1 triumph at Kent State, Friday afternoon at Murphy-Mellis Field.

The Lady Flames bolster their record to 2-1 overall, while the Golden Flashes fall to 0-3 with the setback.

Locked in a 1-1 battle with less than 15 minutes to play in the contest, Moroni, the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Offensive Player of the Week, buried a backhanded shot into the right side of the cage off a feed from fellow senior Abby Julius for her sixth goal of the season. The Argentina native's second goal of the day came at the 55:55 mark. The Lady Flames held on for a one-goal victory.
