With the Major League Baseball Draft putting a cap on the 2018 Liberty baseball season two weeks ago, LFSN's Nick Pierce was able to catch up with Flames' head coach Scott Jackson for a look back at the past season and look forward to next year.
In their second season under Jackson, the Flames posted a 32-26 overall record and finished third in the Big South regular season standings with a 17-10 mark.
After dropping their first game of the 2018 Big South Baseball Championship at Liberty Baseball Stadium, the Flames won three straight elimination games, before falling in an if necessary game to move onto the title game against No. 1 seed and eventual Big South Champion Campbell.
