Liberty utility man Tree Todd has been selected to the All-ECAC baseball first team, the organization announced this morning.
In his first season at Liberty, Todd earned Big South All-Conference first team honors as the team's utility player. Todd made starts in left field, at catcher and as the designated hitter for the Flames.
Todd led Liberty with a .315 batting average in 2018 and was among the Big South leaders in several offensive categories. The junior finished the year second in RBI (52) and on base percentage (.479), while completing the season third in slugging percentage (.553), fourth in home runs (10), eighth in total bases (109) and ninth in runs scored (43). He also led the league in walks with 60, the second most in program history for a single season.
The Deptford, N.J., native led the Flames with 18 multi-hit games and 15 multi-RBI contests. He drove in three or more runs in seven games, this season.
