Liberty women's lacrosse player Abby Britton's highlight-reel goal from last Saturday's (April 14) game versus Winthrop has been in the national spotlight throughout the week.

Britton's goal was a behind-the-back no-look shot in which she reached up to catch a Mia Toscano pass on the run and fired a shot into the left side of the net, past Winthrop goalkeeper Alaina Girani. The goal, which came on Britton's Senior Day, occurred at the 26:38 mark of the second half in an eventual 12-11 Lady Flames victory over the Eagles.

On Wednesday, Britton's goal was featured as the No. 4 play on espnW's Top 10 Plays. The goal was also the No. 9 play on NCAA Lacrosse's Top 10 Plays.

Britton and the Lady Flames lacrosse team (13-4) have earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming 2018 Big South Women's Lacrosse Championship. Liberty will face the winner of No. 3 Winthrop/No. 6 Longwood on May 4 at 7 p.m. in the semifinals at High Point.
