Liberty junior guard/forward Megan Frazee, tabbed MVP of this past weekend's National City Xavier Invitational, has garnered another award. Frazee has been named this week's Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.

Frazee (Xenia, Ohio) averaged 20.3 ppg and 10.5 rpg for the week, leading the Lady Flames to three wins in four games. Liberty swept all three of its contests at the National City Xavier Invitational to win the tournament title. During Sunday's championship game against the host Musketeers, Frazee scored 21 of her 28 points after halftime, helping the Lady Flames erase an 11-point second-half deficit to claim a 61-56 victory. She also added 10 boards versus Xavier, completing her third double-double of the week.

For the season, the Ohio native leads the Big South in rebounds (10.2 rpg), while sitting second in scoring (18.5 ppg) and free throw percentage (.889). Frazee is also third in field goal percentage (.488). The junior's free throw percentage was aided by a streak of 18-straight made foul shots last week.

The honor is Frazee's first of the 2007-08 season, but the junior has now been named Big South Player of the Week seven times in her career. She won the award twice as a freshman and four times last season.

Frazee and the Lady Flames, now 5-1 on the season, will play their home opener Friday at 7 p.m., when Virginia Union visits the Vines Center. The contest will kick off a string of four-consecutive home games for Liberty.
