The Lady Flames will take on UNCG and North Carolina A&T on Saturday in Lynchburg.
Liberty women's tennis will begin the month of March by hosting a doubleheader on Saturday against UNCG and North Carolina A&T.
Saturday's first match between the Lady Flames (4-5) and UNCG Spartans (3-3) will begin at 11 a.m. at Crosswhite Athletic Club (118 Davis Cup Rd.) in Lynchburg. Liberty will conclude its third doubleheader of the year with a match against the NC A&T Aggies (0-7) at 4 p.m.
The Lady Flames have won four of their last six matches despite recent setbacks to Virginia Tech (Feb. 17), who is now ranked No. 30 in the country, and James Madison (Feb. 24).
UNCG has won three of its last four contests, including victories over Big South opponents Gardner-Webb (Feb. 17) and UNC Asheville (Feb. 25). NC A&T is still in search of its first victory of 2018.
Series History Liberty and UNCG will be facing each other for the fifth time ever but for the first time since the 2011 spring season. The Spartans hold a 3-1 edge in the all-time series. However, the Lady Flames won the most recent meeting, 5-2, on March 24, 2011 in Lynchburg.
Liberty and North Carolina A&T have met 10 times before but not since 2010. The Lady Flames own the 9-1 series edge, including a 6-1 triumph on April 7, 2010 in Greensboro, N.C. in the two squads' most recent clash.
