Before the Flames started their third full week of spring football practice, redshirt junior running back/return specialists Frankie Hickson met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the team's workouts.
Hickson is a two-time Big South all-conference selection (2016 and 2017 – second team/ kickoff return specialist). He ranked second in the Big South in kickoff return average (21.4 yards per return) and total kickoff returns (27) in 2017. He also ranks second on Liberty's roster in rushing yards (375), rushing attempts (100) and rushing touchdowns (2).
The Flames will pass the midpoint of their spring practice workouts schedule this week with spring practices No. 8 to No. 10 of their 15 spring practice sessions. As previously announced, the Flames will not hold an annual spring football game due to the expansion construction taking place at Williams Stadium.
During its spring practice workouts, the Flames practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (5:45 to 7:45 p.m.) and Saturday mornings/afternoons. All of Liberty's spring practice workouts are closed to the general public and media.
