For the second year in a row, Liberty junior Alicia Finnigan has punched her ticket to the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, turning in a qualifying time on Saturday at the Liberty Last Chance Meet at Liberty Natatorium.

Finnigan, who earned selection to the 2017 NCAA Championships at last year's Bulldog Last Chance Meet, swam a program and conference-record 1:55.33 in the 200 fly today, essentially guaranteeing her spot at the 2018 NCAA Championships.

This weekend's event also featured athletes from Virginia, Virginia Tech and Duke.

Several Lady Flames turned in B cut times on Saturday, although Finnigan's is the only one that was faster than the projected last invited team in that event.

Colleen Donlin swam a lifetime-best NCAA B cut 22.78 in the 50 free, lowering her time from the 22.86 that she attained at the CCSA Championships last week. Her 22.78 puts her sixth on Liberty's all-time top 10 in the event. Leading off the 200 free relay, Prudence Rooker clocked a personal-best B cut time of 22.87 for 50 free. That time is tied for eighth in program history in the event.

Rooker earlier swam a B cut 1:02.22 in the 100 breaststroke, while Hannah Baker's 1:02.95 ties for fourth in program history and Kiah Francis' 1:03.64 is seventh on the program's all-time list.

Brittany Weiss clocked a B standard in the 100 back, 53.23, after swimming a program-record 52.81 last week.

Emily Manly's 1:49.49 in the 200 free places her fourth on Liberty's all-time top 10 in the event.

Hannah Baker turned in a 2:03.03 in the 200 IM, the fifth fastest swimmer in program history for the 200 individual medley.

The 200 free relay of Rooker, Baker, Weiss and Donlin went 1:30.92.

Selections for the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be announced at 5 p.m. next Wednesday.

The Liberty Last Chance Meet concludes tomorrow, with morning prelims at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 4 p.m. at Liberty Natatorium.
