Liberty Athletics exclusive coverage of Football National Signing Day returns on Wednesday. The around the clock coverage will provide Flames Nation a first look at Liberty's completed signing class, the program's first at the FBS level.

During the NCAA's early signing period in December, the football program announced the signing of 19 newcomers, including 14 high school standouts and five junior college transfers.

Throughout the day on Wednesday, the @LibertyFootball Twitter and Instagram accounts will provide real-time updates as each signee's national letter of intent clears Liberty's Compliance office.

Head Coach Turner Gill will hold his Signing Day Press Conference in the Team Room of the Williams Football Operations Center, meeting with local and regional media at 1 p.m.

LFSN's award-winning coverage of Football's National Signing Day returns for the fourth year in a row, this year with a Facebook Live broadcast on the Liberty Flames Athletics Facebook page.

The Flames Signing Day Special will go live at 1 p.m. (EST). The show will open with a live stream of Gill's press conference with the media, followed by insight from each of Liberty's assistant coaches about their newest signees.

Wednesday's signing day will complete Liberty's first-ever FBS signing class. On Feb. 16, 2017, the NCAA approved Liberty's waiver request to begin the two-year FBS reclassification process. Liberty recently completed its final season as a FCS program in 2017, playing as a member of the Big South Conference.

During the 2018 season, Liberty will compete as a FBS independent program and will not be eligible for postseason competition. At the conclusion of the two-year transition process, Liberty will be a full-fledged FBS program in 2019, which will include the opportunity to compete for bowl game appearances.

The Flames will host their first FBS home game against Old Dominion on Sept. 1, 2018, the first of four FBS teams to visit Williams Stadium in 2018 to meet the FBS reclassification criteria. The 2018 home schedule also features FBS matchups against North Texas (Sept. 22), Troy (Oct. 13) and New Mexico State (Nov. 24).
