One day after her hometown Philadelphia Eagles won their first Super Bowl, Liberty sophomore Keyen Green has been named Big South Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Green, who was an eight-time Big South Freshman of the Week in 2016-17, becomes the Lady Flames' first Big South Player of the Week since Katelyn Adams on Feb. 8, 2016.

Green averaged 17.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg while shooting 66.7 percent (16-of-24) from the field during a 2-0 week which gave Liberty sole possession of first place in the Big South standings.

In a Tuesday battle between Big South co-leaders, Green led all players in both points (19) and rebounds (14) during the Lady Flames' 65-42 victory at High Point. The double-double was her third of the season and the 12th of her career.

Green then contributed 16 points to a 63-55 home win over Presbyterian on Saturday. She tallied six points, two rebounds, two assists, a blocked shot and a steal during the decisive fourth quarter against the Blue Hose.

For the season, Green leads the Big South and ranks No. 18 nationally for field goal percentage (59.1). She also ranks among the conference leaders in offensive rebounding (tie for No. 3, 2.8 rpg), scoring (No. 6, 13.1 ppg) and rebounding (No. 8, 6.3 rpg).

Green, who is averaging 19.8 ppg and 8.2 rpg during the Lady Flames' current five-game winning streak, tops all conference players with a 16.3 ppg scoring average in Big South play

Liberty (14-8, 9-1 Big South) will welcome Gardner-Webb (14-8, 4-6 Big South) to the Vines Center on Tuesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. as the Lady Flames look to complete a season sweep of the Runnin' Bulldogs. Liberty posted an 85-60 win at Gardner-Webb on Jan. 13.
