The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• Liberty (5-7) will tip off its 18-game Big South Conference schedule with a trip to Presbyterian (3-8) for the 20th all-time meeting between the Lady Flames and Blue Hose.

• Liberty is 14-5 all-time against the Blue Hose, but Presbyterian has won three of the last four meetings.

• The Lady Flames are playing their 10th game out of 13 away from Lynchburg this season. Liberty will look to snap a five-game road losing streak overall and a two-game skid at the Templeton Center.

• The game will feature an intriguing point guard matchup between Presbyterian senior Cortney Storey and Liberty freshman Ashtyn Baker. Storey is a two-time Big South Player of the Week this season, while Baker has won three Big South Freshman of the Week honors. Both played high school basketball in Tennessee.

• Liberty sophomore Keyen Green averaged 14.5 ppg on 84.6 percent (11-of-13) shooting against Presbyterian last season. She is averaging 12.7 ppg and 8.0 rpg over her last three games, entering conference play.

• Liberty is playing its 10th contest away from the Vines Center in its first 13 games of the 2017-18 season. Presbyterian can relate, as the Blue Hose opened their year with seven of their first eight games played away from Clinton, including a West Coast trip to San Diego State and UCLA.
 
• Tuesday will mark the 20th meeting between Liberty and Presbyterian in a head-to-head series which began in 2008. The Lady Flames own a 14-5 lead, but the Blue Hose have taken three of the last four meetings, including the last two matchups in Clinton.
 
• The point guard matchup will pit an early Big South Player of the Year candidate (Presbyterian senior Cortney Storey) against an early Big South Freshman of the Year prospect (Liberty's Ashtyn Baker), both of whom played high school basketball in Tennessee.
 
• Storey, who has won two Big South Player of the Week awards, leads the conference in assists (5.2 apg) while ranking second in scoring (17.3 ppg). Baker, a three-time Big South Freshman of the Week, paces conference freshmen in scoring (8.4 ppg), assists (3.2 apg) and steals (1.3 spg).
 
• Liberty's visit to Presbyterian will be the Lady Flames' first game in South Carolina this season. Liberty is 62-9 when playing in the Palmetto State under Head Coach Carey Green.

• Liberty is facing Presbyterian in its Big South opener for the first time.

• Liberty, in its 27th season of Big South Conference women's basketball, is the winningest team in conference history at 312-86 in Big South games.
 
• The Lady Flames have won 10+ conference games for 18 straight seasons, entering 2017-18. 
 
• Liberty has recorded a winning Big South record for 21 consecutive seasons, dating back to 1996-97.
 
• The Lady Flames have captured a conference-best 15 Big South regular-season titles, most recently in 2014-15.

Wanted for Theft
• Liberty came up with a season-high 16 steals at Duke on Friday, the most by any Blue Devils opponent this season. It also marked the Lady Flames' most steals in a game since Jan. 9, 2012, when they came up with 18 against Campbell.
 
• Liberty is averaging a Big South-best 9.6 steals per game in 2017-18. The Lady Flames have not averaged this many steals for a full season since 2009-10, when the team posted 11.4 steals per outing.
