(L-R) Moroni, Bolton and Dykema garnered Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Field Hockey All-State University Division team recognition on Friday.

The Liberty field hockey trio of Agueda Moroni, Jill Bolton and Ashley Dykema have been named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Field Hockey All-State University Division team.

Moroni, a forward/midfielder, was voted to the first team for the first time in her career after garnering second team honors a year ago. The sophomore, who also earned second team All-American honors on Dec. 5, finished eighth in the country in goals per game (1.00) and ninth in points per game (2.42), following a 19-goal, 46-point season. Moroni's 19 markers in 2017 tied a program record, and her 29 career goals already place her in a tie for fourth all-time in program history. The Cordoba, Argentina, native has 69 points in two seasons, the sixth most in Liberty field hockey history.

Bolton, a midfielder, scored six goals over her final eight contests and finished the year with nine goals, five assists and 23 points. The freshman, who also garnered first team All-BIG EAST and second team All-South Region recognition, helped Liberty navigate a tough schedule which featured nine nationally-ranked foes. She netted goals against No. 2 Duke, No. 6 Delaware, No. 6 North Carolina and No. 17 Maryland. The Souderton, Pa., native also had two-goal efforts against MAC runner-up Kent State and BIG EAST opponent Temple, while adding a goal against conference foe Providence.

Dykema, a defender, started all 19 contests as a freshman, playing every minute of every game. Dykema and the Liberty defense, along with goalkeeper Allison Schaefer, recorded three shutouts in 2017, all against BIG EAST competition (Villanova, Georgetown and Providence). The native of Newport News, Va., a first team All-BIG EAST selection, tallied her first goal and first career assist in the same game, a home bout against the No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels on Oct. 29.
