Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. James Madison • James Madison has been Liberty's most frequently played non-conference opponent in recent years. Wednesday's game will mark the teams' 11th meeting in the last 12 seasons. The year Liberty and JMU did not face one another (2014-15), both teams played NCAA Tournament first round games in Chapel Hill, N.C. • The road team has won four of the last five Liberty-JMU matchups, including the Dukes' 62-48 victory at the Vines Center on Nov. 15, 2016. • Both teams feature regining conference freshmen of the year who hail from Philadelphia, including 2017 Big South Freshman of the Year Keyen Green for the Lady Flames and 2017 CAA Rookie of the Year Kamiah Smalls for the Dukes. • James Madison, which has made five NCAA Tournament appearances in the last eight years, was picked to win the 2018 CAA championship.
