Bongart will play in tomorrow's White singles final.
Liberty junior Ashley Bongart qualified for tomorrow's final in the White singles division with a straight-sets victory on day two of the SDSU Fall Classic II, Saturday at the Aztec Tennis Center.
Bongart bested San Diego's Sophia Chow, 6-3, 7-5 to earn a place in tomorrow's championship match. She will face host San Diego State's Paola Diaz, who won her match, 6-4, 6-4, over Colorado's Chloe Hule. Bongart and Diaz will square off at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST) on Sunday.
In her first year with the Lady Flames, Bongart, a native of Bradenton, Fla., owns the most singles wins (8) of any player this season.
Bongart and doubles partner Rebekah Anderson improved to 5-3 in doubles this fall with a 6-3 victory over Fresno State's Georgia Lawson and Katerina Stloukalova. The Liberty tandem will face Linda Huang and Annabelle Andrinopoulos of Colorado in Sunday's consolation final of the Black doubles flight.
The final day of play at the SDSU Fall Classic II will be on Sunday at the Aztec Tennis Center.
