As his team prepares to tip off the 2017-18 season, Liberty Women's Basketball Head Coach Carey Green announced that Lizzie Moore, a post player from California, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Liberty University for the 2018-19 academic year.
Lizzie Moore (F/C, 6-2, San Jose, Calif.) Moore, a senior at Valley Christian High School, earned second team All-WCAL honors as a junior, averaging 7.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per outing. She led the league with 2.1 blocks per game as a freshman and was an honorable mention All-WCAL pick during her sophomore campaign. Moore has helped the Warriors win 48 games during her first three seasons on the team. "I'm so blessed to be able to continue my basketball career with the amazing coaching staff and team," remarked Moore, who plays for the West Valley Basketball Club on the AAU circuit. "I had never been in a place where God is so clearly alive and active."
What They're Saying about Lizzie Moore "Lizzie has a fully engaged attitude at all times which pushes the limits while she's in competition. She will have a huge impact because of her consistency. She is an excellent student, which carries over to her eagerness to learn on the basketball court as well. We are certainly impressed by the completeness of her game during her competitions. She plays hard, has a good IQ, passes exceptionally well, picks and rolls with understanding and battles inside. She also helps on defense and adds three-point shooting depth. Lizzie displays a complete game, which we're excited to have her bring to our Liberty family." Carey Green, Liberty Head Women's Basketball Coach
"In my 37 years of coaching, I've had only a handful of players who have been as committed as Lizzie. She's very good and will only get better." Bobby Bramlett, West Valley Basketball Club Head Coach
