Liberty will look to stay unbeaten in the Big South Conference as the team prepares for its first road game within the conference, facing Winthrop.   

The Lady Flames have continued its success within the Big South, having not lost a regular season game within the Big South since Oct. 24, 2015. Liberty is coming off a tie against High Point to conclude its first Big South home stand. The 2016 Big South Championship rematch was Liberty's first tie during a Big South regular season match since Sept. 27, 2014. In her first 200 minutes of Big South action freshman goalkeeper, Melody Jayroe, has not allowed a goal. Former Liberty goalkeeper, Holly Van Noord, is the only freshman in the program's history to start conference play with two straight shutouts. Van Noord started the 2013 season with three straight Big South shutouts.  

Liberty has won the last two meetings when traveling to Rock Hill, and the last five games allowing just one goal in those meetings. As play continues within the Big South, both teams will look to pick up its offensive production as both team rank seventh in goals scored this season with nine each.
