STATS FCS Top 25 Poll
Following a resounding home-opening win on Saturday, Liberty is ranked No. 19 in the latest STATS FCS Top 25 poll.
The Flames moved up one spot on the national media poll after a 58-17 win over Morehead State on Saturday in front of 17,118 fans at Williams Stadium.
Following Liberty's 48-45 win over Baylor on Sept. 2, the program's first-ever win over a Power 5 opponent, Liberty jumped into the national poll at No. 20.
As a part of Liberty's two-year FBS reclassification process, the Flames are eligible for the STATS FCS Top 25 poll, but not the FCS Coaches Top 25 poll.
Prior to the national rankings the last two weeks, the last time the Flames were ranked was Oct. 12, 2015. Liberty was ranked No. 22 in the country before a 20-17 loss at Monmouth on Oct. 17 dropped Liberty out of both national rankings for the rest of the year.
The Flames will close out a two-game homestand this weekend when they host Indiana State at Williams Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
