After four games and two straight weeks on the road, the Liberty women's soccer team will host its second home game of the season as they welcome UMBC to town. After Thursday's game against the Retrievers, the Lady Flames will close out the weekend on the road against Louisiana State. Liberty will be playing its first game at Osborne Stadium since Aug. 20 against VCU. This will be the third straight year where Liberty will face an SEC opponent having previously faced Tennessee the last two seasons.

Liberty went into the season with a challenging non-conference schedule and that has proven to be the case facing quality opponents all throughout the East Coast. Five of the six opponents Liberty has faced this season currently have winning records, as George Washington is the only team Liberty has faced without a winning record. Coach Wedemeyer continues to rely on his depth having played 21 players in the two Florida games. Liberty's youth is gaining experience on the fly as four underclassmen were inserted into the starting lineup in Florida and seven came off the bench as well.
