The excitement of Liberty's FBS transition has made an impact in all areas of Liberty Athletics, including record sales in football suites and the club seating area.
Since the opening of the Williams Stadium Tower in 2010, suites have been sold out six out of eight years, including this year heading into the 2017 season.
Liberty football suites have had a 98.6 percent occupancy rate since the 2010 Williams Stadium expansion project. Liberty has 18 suites located on the fourth floor of the Williams Stadium Tower.
Suites sold for $25,000 for the 2017 season, which included 16 season tickets and four parking passes. Catering services came as an additional expense to suite holders.
With Liberty's move to the FBS level in 2018, suite holders have been notified that the price for a suite will increase to $30,000, next year. The price will include the same ticketing and parking pass benefit and will also include the price of catering.
Roughly two-thirds of Liberty's suites are under long-term commitments, while the others have first-right-of-refusal privileges for existing suite holders to renew annually.
With less than two weeks before Liberty's home opener against Morehead State on Sept. 9, the Flames Club has sold 631 out of 678 available club seats (93.1 percent), placing sales ahead of the end-of-the-year sales totals for last season.
Flames Club members who purchase club seats have access to a pregame buffet in the Williams Stadium Tower Club Pavilion (third floor), where heavy hors d'oeuvres are served starting when gates open 90 minutes before kickoff.
The Club Pavilion is an 11,000-square-foot facility with lounge furniture and high-top tables, exclusive restrooms and televisions, terrace balconies and the best view of Williams Stadium.
Access to the Club Pavilion and the club seating area requires a Director's Level ($3,000) family or corporate membership, and the seats sell for $275 apiece for the season.
Flames Club members who purchase club seats this year have priority for purchasing the same tickets during Liberty's first FBS season in 2018.
All tickets are still on sale for the 2017 season with prices remaining the same from the previous season. Fans who purchase season tickets this year will have priority on purchasing season tickets in 2018. For more information about becoming a season ticket holder, please contact the Flames Ticket Office at (434) 582-SEAT (7328) or email@example.com.
