Offensive lineman Michael Henderman was one of two Liberty players who represented the Flames at this week's Big South Football Media Day event in Charlotte, N.C.
Henderman, along with linebacker Solomon McGinty, helped kick off the 16th season of Big South football earlier this week with the conference's annual media day festivities held at the Charlotte Marriott City Center hotel in Uptown Charlotte.
During # BSCMediaDay17, LFSN reporter Alan York had a chance to talk with Henderman about the Flames' upcoming 2017 season.
Henderman recently completed his undergraduate degree in criminal justice and is currently pursuing a master's degree in human services counseling - executive leadership.
Henderman saw limited action during 2016 due to a back injury, playing in two games and starting the contest on Sept. 17 against SMU.
The native of Tyrone, Ga., saw playing time in all 11 games in 2015, starting 10 contests and leading the team in knockdowns. He helped the Flames rank No. 3 in the Big South in total offense (379.6 yards per game) and sacks allowed (16).
