Liberty men's basketball wrapped up its summer camps where they hosted over 700 kids. During the summer, the Flames' program had a chance to give back to its community by passing along the game they love to children throughout the month of June.
"We really hope that our camp is just an extension of Liberty," head coach Ritchie McKay said. "I think the best thing about our program is that we have young men pursuing their faith and they will invest in our youth at camp."
Liberty basketball hosted four camps varying from ages 6-16. Throughout the camps, McKay and his staff taught the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing and teamwork. Not only does the coaching staff help at camps but also current and former players lend a hand as they look to pass down a love for the game to the youth.
