Former Liberty women's basketball standout Ashley Rininger recently tipped off her professional career with the Bendigo Lady Braves of the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL). Game On caught up with Rininger to discuss her new experience.
Rininger wrapped up her time with the Lady Flames in 2015-16 as one of the most decorated players in program history. The native of Canton, Ohio is the seventh-leading scorer (1,380 points) and fourth-leading rebounder (952 rebounds) all-time at Liberty.
Also a standout in the classroom, Rininger was a two-time first team CoSIDA Academic All-American (2015, 2016), the 2016 Big South Woman of the Year and the 2016 Big South Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
