The Liberty men's tennis team was tabbed as the No. 8 seed for next week's 2017 Big South Men's Tennis Championship.

The Flames (7-14, 0-7 Big South) will face off with the No. 1 seed Presbyterian Blue Hose in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 19, at 9 a.m. Presbyterian (14-10) earned the top seed by going 6-1 in Big South action for their first regular-season title since 2014. Liberty and Presbyterian met on April 1 in Lynchburg, a match won, 6-1, by the Blue Hose.

The 2017 Big South Men's Tennis Championship will be contested next Wednesday through Friday at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Big South tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship.

Should Liberty defeat No. 1 seed Presbyterian on Wednesday, they would move on to face the winner of No. 4 Longwood and No. 5 Winthrop on Thursday at noon. The championship match will be contested on April 21 at 4 p.m.
